Six Days in Fallujah completed, Awaiting Deployment
Written by Richard Stack
Remeber that Iraq based shooter from awhile back? Well supposedly it's finished, and developer Atomic Games is ready to release it. Dropped by former Publisher Konami last April, the fate of Six Days in Fallujah and its developer appeared grim as it failed to find a new home, and reports of layoffs at the studio surfaced. However, recent news indicates that we might not have seen the last of this game.
"I can promise you…

It's been announced that the newly formed Sledgehammer Games will be making a new Call of Duty game, that will "extend the franchise into the action-adventure genre."
According to Activision, we will see another COD game in 2011, but we're not sure if that is the same game that Sledgehammer is developing, or another title, possibly being developed by Infinity Ward. Either way, your COD addiction will be fed when Treyarch releases its next game…

We're not exactly sure what's happining over at Infinity Ward...we just know that it's happening. According to G4, security guards stormed the offices of Infinity Ward, presumably after a hail of grenade spam. Studio Heads Vince Zampella and Jason West supposedly met with Activision earlier, but haven't been seen since.

I propose we add this word to GLF's lexicon.
What does it mean? Aside from an official definition, its meaning may change based on the attitude of Jawmuncher, but for the time being I will define it as:
Whenever a game is completed 100% on either the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 and therefore all Achievements and/or Trophies have been earned. This is when a game has been Jawmunchered. Note, the word must at all…

Masculinity, Femininity and Politics in Video Games
Written by warturkey
It is the case that far too often, video games craft their scripted events behind a character that is uniquely masculine. I suggest the word ‘unique’ because they depict the male form as something that is not true to reality, or to the norm. With the rise of photo-realistic graphics, videos games have begun a habit of glamorizing the human body, whether it is male or female. This is standard, to the big budget Hollywood…

Activision: Not a people-friendly corporation? Not like any of them are.
Written by Aaron Fraser
Infinity Ward (IW), a company known for its prowess in crafting Activision’s Call of Duty series has become the target of great scrutiny lately. The leaked footage of the terrorist perspective gunning down civilians in an airport, to the controversial commercial regarding grenade spammers, to the announcement that PC users would not be getting stable servers for online multiplayer. It would seem IW has drawn in an enormous amount of negative press as of late.…

It seems that a new patent Sony filed has shown up and it looks like they are prepping their own version of the Wii Nunchuck. It is held like a stick and is crowned with four face buttons on the top. The patent was filed in the U.S. by SCE.
So this raises a good question: What will we use this for? Not only that, but will it ever see the light of day? Perhaps…

September NPD: PS3 Tops 360, Wii. Halo 3:ODST Tops Software.
Written by Kyle Edgeworth
Thanks to a price drop and a redesign, the PS3 outsold the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii in the same month for the first time with nearly 500k units sold according to numbers released by the NPD Group today. The PS3, with the strongest sales that it has seen in months, still couldn't knock the Nintendo DS of the top of the chart amongst all platforms. The DS has now been the top selling…
