Sony has announced that the Blu-Ray release of the blockbuster science fiction film District 9 will include a demo of the Playstation 3 exclusive game, God of War III. Upon completion of the demo, gamers can unlock an exclusive behind the scenes of God of War video.

The Blu-Ray release of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete in Japan contained a demo of Final Fantasy XIII, but this is the first time that such a tie-in has been offered to US consumers.

Believe it. The long awaited demo to the Playstation 3's most hotly anticipated title has been dated for November 19. There is one tiny little catch, though. Not only is it only announced for Japan (which isn't a problem for people with multiple PSN accounts anyways), it's only available to those with an exclusive code provided as a promotion to inFAMOUS, which is being released October 15 in Japan. For those with a code, the demo can be redeemed anywhere from November 19 all the way until February 2010, just a month before the assumed release date of the game. Shame shame. No word on getting the demo without a code just yet. Hopefully Sony decides to open the floodgates and let everyone in on the action.
