Six Days in Fallujah completed, Awaiting Deployment
Remeber that Iraq based shooter from awhile back? Well supposedly it's finished, and developer Atomic Games is ready to release it. Dropped by former Publisher Konami last April, the fate of Six Days in Fallujah and its developer appeared grim as it failed to find a new home, and reports of layoffs at the studio surfaced. However, recent news indicates that we might not have seen the last of this game.
"I can promise you that game is still coming out and it is finished,"
Now this isn't anything concrete, but it is a good sign. Hopefully Atomic's hard work will finally pay off with a release, and when it does, it shouldn't have a hard time finding a niche. This generation hasn't seen much in the third person shooter department, and Six Days in Fallujah could fill that void.
Jurassic: The Hunted Review
Many people seem to be infatuated with Dinosaurs. Unfortunately, not many video games incorporate the dino-theme into the story with the exception of the Turok franchise and a few others scattered throughout the years. Personally, I feel deprived of the prehistoric creatures and this is why games like Jurassic: The Hunted creates a bit of a buzz upon its release
Killzone 3 and Resistance 3 Coming In 2010?!
Could we have our hands on the inevitable sequel to this year's hit Killzone 2 by holiday season of next year? OPM seems to think so. In the "The Secret Games of 2010" feature of December's OPM, they write; "Insider slips reveal three big names you can already pencil for the next year." Among them is none other than Killzone 3, which is said to be already "reportedly deep in development."
The second is another sequel to one of Sony's other big hitters, Resistance 3. It's anyone's guess if this is true or not as it directly contradicts rumors which surfaced earlier this month.
The third game mentioned should come as no surprise. Reported Treyarch will be back at it with a sequel to Call of Duty: World At War.
Though there is a whole lot of time for game delays between now and then, I certainly welcome the addition of Killzone 3 and Resistance 3 into the already jam packed 2010 gaming lineup. Hopefully we hear more on this in the coming months.

Socom Confrontation: Coldfront
It's official, Socom Confrontation's DLC pack, "Coldfront", has finally been unveiled. As the title suggests, Coldfront will take players to a snowy Eastern European Battlefield. Its two brand new maps, and three Socom classics should help to breath new life into the game, with the other extras included just sweetening the deal.
Socom 1.60 Watch
Socom Confrontation got a serious upgrade when the games 1.50 update came along, fixing bugs and adding long, long promised features such as tournament support. Now the 1.60 update, which was announced even before 1.50 released, is steadily approaching release. It will fix several issues with the game, but the main meat comes in the form of free DLC. Two new special forces, the Italian COMSUBIN , and the Dutch KCT.
Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising DLC on the Horizon
Didn't this game just release last week? Executive producer Sion Lenton, speaking with The Telegraph, has expressed plans to release DLC mere weeks after the game's initial release in the US.
"We've got some very ambitious plans with DLC - our first pack is coming up in a matter of weeks. We'll also have title updates coming up because once the game's out there, we'll need to get feedback from the people who are playing it, and if need be make a few adjustments and tweaks."
"Our team are already prototyping all sorts of stuff to be released as DLC and we're really excited about it. It's a really different type of market now; I remember five or six years ago, you'd get a game, finish it, put it back on the shelf and that was it," he added.
"But now it's almost as though the game's release is just the beginning, really. Ours is a game that lends itself very well to expansion - there will be weapons packs, map packs - all sorts of things we can do to get our product out there."
If the game lends itself to expansion, you can rest assured the company will cash in on the opportunity.
Resistance 3 Announced?
Could this be a premature announcement for the 3rd installment in the Resistance series? This billboard was spotted by user goldsoundz over at the NeoGAF forums down in Louisiana. The billboard will reportedly appear in "Battle: Los Angeles," an upcoming movie due out in early 2011. Quite an interesting way to accidentally leak plans for a new game. One thing of interest to note is the A, which contains the silhouette of the Statue of Liberty. Will the next Resistance take place in New York?
